I think that they, well, I learned about the black death last year, and what I learned was that there was a song made for it, Ring Around the Rosie was the song for it, cause, ring around the Rosie, pocket full of possies (they kept flowers in their pockets to get rid of the smell of death) ashes ashes (The bodies burning) we all fall down (death) the stages on the black deaths. I think that the deathly people just wanted everyone who had the disease to be dead.

The Black Death was a pandemic that plagued much of Europe during the 14th Century.

  • Realism in art painted very vivid pictures of death, thus making people think more of life after death.

  • Hell became a very stark reality to them. The rich especially were struck with fear and sought ways to live good lives to avoid eternal death.

Generally, fear was a major feeling in the hearts of the wealthy lords and ladies.
