It is given in the question that :
A crate of tennis balls measures 25 inches by 25 inches by 15 inches.
First we have to find the volume of the crate which is
[tex] Volume = 25*25*15 = 9375 inches^3 [/tex]
And the given radius of tennis ball is 1.35 inches .
A tennis ball is in the shape of sphere. And volume of sphere is
[tex] Volume = \frac{4}{3} \pi r^3 [/tex]
Substituting the value of r, we will get
[tex] Volume = \frac{4}{3} * \pi * 1.35^3 = 10.31 inches^3 [/tex]
TO find the number of balls , we have to divide the volume of crate by volume of ball.
That is ,
[tex] = \frac{9375}{10.31} = Approx 910 balls [/tex]
