The Dravidians are largely associated with the Southern Region of India because they form majority of its population. Some of the greatest civilizations of India were made by ancient Dravidians. They are native speakers of the Dravidian language of South Asia and are also found native in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Maldives, and Sri Lanka. People who spoke this language are said to have a common linguistic identity. These people were noted for their martial, religious and mercantile activities.
