having trouble with this answer help me 8-1/3x=16

$8- \frac{1}{3}x=16\\ \\ -\frac{1}{3}x =16-8\\\\ -\frac{1}{3}x =8 \ \ /*(-3)\\ \\-\frac{1}{3}* (-3)x =8 *(-3)\\ \\x=-24$
