Help I have a math assignment for you. The property we live on is odd shaped & I'm trying to confirm the properties square footage. I have two different figures. So your assignment, if you wish to do so,(that's from mission impossible) is to determine the square footage of the property.
Dimensions are as follows:
East side (Highbury St side) 133.78 ft.
North side (neighbour) 120.00 ft.
South side (laneway) 136.6 ft.
West side 66.1 ft.

if there are 2 right angles (as said in comments, then you can divide the shape into a rectangle and a triangle as sseen in the attachment (not to scale)
we can do this since there are 2 right angles in the places mentioned in the comments (NE and NW
then find the areas of each
(the right angles. are in yellow ink)
area of rectangle=legntht times widht
legnth=120
width=66.1
area=120 times 66.1=7932


find the area of the triangle so we see that we can find the height of the triangle by subtracting 66.1 from 133.78 to find the triangle's height
height=67.68
legnth is the same
area of triangle=1/2 times base times height
base=legnth=120
height=67.68
area=1/2 times 120 times 67.68=4060.8
now add the areas together


rectangle=7932 ft^2 or square feet
triangle=4060.8 ft^2

rectangle+triangle=whole=7932+4060.8=11992.8 ft^2

answer is 11,992.8 ft^2 or 11,992.8 square feet
