Mangrove refers to a group of tropical trees that grows in an intertidal area. It has an approximate 16 families and 40 to 50 species, however that will still change based on its classification. Therefore, mangrove is the accepted term used to refer to a vast group of plants that adapt to a wet and saline habitat. The traditional view of mangrove forests as wastelands and unhealthy environments promote their degradation because the people thought that the removal of mangroves would lead to a healthier environment.
