The Burmese python is an invasive species. They can be up to 26 feet long causing them to dominate areas and naturally have no predators. They prey on many animals such as raccoons, rabbits, bobcats, and deer. This has caused a large decline in their population and some animals have even been put on the endangered species list due to the impact. The pythons are causing a large disruption to the food chain, taking prey from larger animals or killing off the larger animals causing a surge of others such as squirrels.
