The Twelfth Night: Shakespeare. Which theme does the subplot involing Malvolio help show? The answer is A. It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. I remember this from my Grade 11 or 12 English as it rings so true in life ie it is philosophical about love which is a very important human emotion
