Burr wasn't an American Hero, in fact-after the duel he tried to sell America to Mexico so they'd make him a king.
And he wasn't charged with murder as it was a proper duel. In fact, it was more like Hamilton committed suicide because researchers found out later that Hamilton shot his pistol into the air when the duel started.
