Respuesta :

the New Jersey plan and the Virginia plan.

One of the plans was created by James Madison, the Virginia Plan. The other one was William Paterson's New Jersey Plan.

EXPLANATION:

Here is the fact of the two plans:

• The Virginia Plan (also popularly called as the Large-State Plan or Randolph Plan)

It was a plan proposed by the Virginia delegation to the branch of bicameral legislative. The plan was written by James Madison at the time he waited for the time when the quorum gathered in the Constitutional Convention of 1787. The Virginia Plan was well-known for its role in setting the overall program for debate at the convention and, especially, to put forward the idea of population-weighted representation in the projected national legislature.

• The New Jersey Plan (also popularly called as the Paterson Plan or Small State Plan)

It was a plan proposed by William Paterson for the United States Government’s structure. The plan was submitted at the Constitutional Convention on June 15, 1787. The plan was made in response to the Virginia Plan, which called for two Congressional assemblies, both are chosen by population distribution.

The less populous states strongly opposed giving the majority of national government control to the more densely populated states, and thus proposed an alternative plan that would make the representation of one-vote-per-state under a legislative body from the Articles of Confederation. The New Jersey Plan was contradicted by James Madison and Edmund Randolph (supporters of the Virginia State Plan).

In the end, the New Jersey Plan was refused as a new constitution basis. The Virginia Plan was employed, but several ideas from the New Jersey Plan were supplemented (as a part of the Great Compromise). Perhaps the most crucial of these were introduced by the Connecticut Compromise, which formed a bicameral legislature with the U.S. House of Representatives that was distributed based on population, as desired by the Virginia Plan, and the Senate gave the same votes per state, as preferred by the New Jersey Plan.
