.Describe in two or more complete sentences which organs are involved in your immune system and how they fight off infections.

Respuesta :

The tonsils fight respiratory and stomach infections. The thymus tells your white blood cells what s normal tissue and what is not.

Answer:

Tonsils and spleen.

Explanation:

Tonsils represent a pair of lymphoid tissue masses, present near the aerodigestive tract. They provide first line of defense and trap the pathogens that enter to the body during inhalation. These trapped pathogens are killed by anti-microbial proteins present in tissues of tonsil and help to prevent lung and throat infections.

Spleen is a part of immune system, present near the abdomen and play role in fighting against infections. Spleen acts as a reservoir for immune cells, such as monocytes, filters and clears pathogens from the blood, and provides site for B-cells maturation that produce antibodies.
