Except oxygen. Plants take in carbon dioxide and turn it into oxygen. 
In order for a plant to complete photosynthesis, sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide need to be present.
Plants use the Carbon dioxide with the energy from sunlight to RELEASE oxygen, it doesn't need oxygen but provides us with it.
