Respuesta :
Montag meets the group of scholarly men when he approaches the campfire in the forest.
He arrives in the countryside, finds railroad tracks, and follows them. Montag finds five men sitting by a campfire. One of the men sees Montag, invites him to join them, and introduces himself as Granger.
The men Montag meets in the dorms, led by Granger, are the opposite of the ones he left behind in the city. They have educated men who love and honor books rather than burn them. Their campfire serves as a beacon of light for Montag to follow, representing warmth and safety rather than the destruction he is used to. When a man who looked like Montag is killed, it is a symbol of not only the dishonesty perpetuated by society but also the death of Montag, the fireman.
After completing his transformation, Montag is a new person.
So when Granger says, "welcome back from the dead," she is actually welcoming the new Montag to a life of thought and awareness, as opposed to the illusion of the happy existence he knew before.
