To find y-intercept, set [x = 0]

$\rightarrow \sf y = 3(0) - 2$

$\rightarrow \sf y = - 2$

The y-intercept: (0, -2)

When [y = 5], x is:

$\rightarrow \sf 3x - 2 = 5$

$\rightarrow \sf 3x = 5 + 2$

$\rightarrow \sf 3x = 7$

$\rightarrow \sf x = \dfrac{7}{3}$

$\rightarrow \sf x = 2 \dfrac{1}{3}$
