It
would be bright all around. All though according to the Apollo
astronauts that went there, it wasn't as bright as say a desert on Earth
but more like an asphalt parking lot. However, that also might be due
to the fact that this report came from a mission which was in a basalt
basin. The middle of the near surface of the moon appears to be a
little brighter the dark areas are basalt basins
The Earth would be directly overhead and you could look at the entire side in
darkness (night). It might even be difficult to see since the Sun would
be very close to it.
