Hey there mate ;)

Let the smaller number be 'x'

Let the larger number be 'x+6'

Given sum =50

Now by ordering them in position,

[tex]x + x + 6 = 50[/tex]

[tex] = > 2x + 6 = 50[/tex]

[tex] = > 2x = 50 - 6[/tex]

[tex] = > 2x = 44[/tex]

[tex] = > x = \frac{44}{2} [/tex]

[tex] = > x = 22[/tex]

So, the smaller number is 22, therefore the larger number is :-

[tex]x + 6[/tex]

[tex] = > (22) + 6[/tex]

[tex] = > 28[/tex]

Therefore, the numbers are 22 and 28
