Passage 1
King Arthur
There once was held a grand sword-fighting tournament. Sir Ector had come to fight in the tournament with
his sons, Sir Kay and young Arthur. Sic Kay, though.badforgotten te briochissword and was sad that he would
not be able to fight in the tournament. Arthur, who loved his brother, gallantly gave his own sword to Sir Kay
and set out to find another one for himself. Luckily, he remembered seeing a sword stuck in a stone on their way
to the tournament. It was a long way back, but Arthur wanted to help his brother, and so he made the trip and
found the sword outside an old church. He grabbed the sword's handle and easily drew it out of the stone.
When he returned with the sword, Sir Ector
could not believe his eyes. Arthur had managed to claim the
Excalibur, the magical sword that would make him king! Sir Ector was overjoyed to see Arthur with the
Excalibur. According to a wizard's prophecy, whosoever could take Excalibur out of the stone would become the
king of England. And thus, Arthur became the king of England.

Passage 2
Hailey to the Rescue
Hailey, terribly late for her math class, rushed upstairs knowing well that the teacher would not be pleased. As
she was rushing, she noticed a small girl struggling to carry a rather large backpack. The moment the girl reached
the last stair, she lost her balance and slipped, stumbling forward. For a second the girl looked stunned as she
realized that her backpack had ripped open and her things were all over the floor. Then she burst out crying.
"Hey there, don't cry," Hailey said catching up to her and helping her up. "Are you hurt?" she asked, looking at
the girl with concern. When the girl shook
her head, Hailey smiled and began picking up the fallen things. I have
an extra bag that you can uss, "Hailey said, putting the girl's things into the tote and handing it to her. Hailey
walked with the little girl to her class, talking to her to calm her down. When they got there, the girl lovinely
hugged Hailey and rushed into her class. Seeing her off, Hailey walked to her own class with a smile on her face.
