The partial reinforcement schedule which is essentially the same as continuous reinforcement is:

  • They both reinforce desired behaviors

Partial reinforcement has to do with the reinforcement of desired behavior only occasionally and not all the time and this happens when there is a learned behavior which is being taught. With this type of reinforcement though, learning is much slower.

In the case of continuous reinforcement has to do with the reinforcement of desired behavior all the time so that they could be learnt quicker.

With this in mind, we can see that the commonality between them is that they both reinforce desired behavior.
