According to Darwin's theory of evolution, which organisms are BEST able to survive in nature are organisms that possess overall characteristics best suited to their environment.

Darwinism is a theory of biological evolution. The base of this theory is the thesis of natural selection.

According to Darwin:

- there are more organism produced in each generation than can survive,

- individuals with heritable traits better suited to the environment will survive.

Natural selection means that only the best individuals will live, the rest will die. The best means the individuals with the best heritable traits, traits that are necessary to survive in nature. The best heritable traits make the individual strong and resistant and so able to withstand the dangers and survive.
