Can the Indians still find the material to work with today?
How do the weaving techniques differ?
What are the approximate date of the baskets and weaving technique?
Which American Indian tribe is associated with the creation of each of the baskets and where are they located?
What purpose was the basket originally designed for?
Do you think one of the baskets designs were more complex than the other?

Materials:

Northeast Indian baskets, for example, are traditionally made out of pounded ash splints or braided sweetgrass.

Southwestern Indians make baskets from tightly coiled sumac or willow wood.

Today:

Most Indians need to buy the materials or they have to farm the materials to make the baskets which can be made by factories now, it's no longer worth it
