Expository prose is a special kind of writing whose function is to expound, set forth, or explain facts such as information, data, ideas, and concepts.
Examples of this include newspapers, news articles, how-to manuals, and instructions.
There are 4 types of expository writing which are:
- Problem and Solution.
- Cause and Effect.
- Compare and Contrast.
- Definitions and Classification.
- How-to/Process.
We use expository writing without realizing it which includes science experiments, school assignments, history articles, reading newspapers, writing a cause and effect assignment, even taking notes we are using this type of writing
