True, these are called pixels, how I picture is stored is actually interesting. When you take pictures it stores it into binary data so 1 or 0. If it is one them there is a color that you see in that particular pixel which could be any color. In computers it is either between 0 that is greatly dark to 255 that is white and this is for 3 color values in the pixel, the colors in a pixel are RGB or red green and blue. These can be set between 0 and 255. After you take a pic all these values are taken and are turned on by what the binary data says to it, and finally after millions of pixels are turned on to its value to the color you get the pic. Another thing is that every pixel has RGB so red can b 233 blue can be 12 and green can be 0 and the value the computer gets is R=233G=0B=12. Hope that helps.
