What is photosynthesis?
- Green plants and certain other organisms convert light energy into chemical energy through a process called photosynthesis.
- Light energy is gathered and utilized during photosynthesis in green plants to change the water, carbon dioxide, and minerals into oxygen- and energy-rich organic molecules (like glucose).
- The process can be represented by the following equation:
