We have 5 stages of relationships according to George Levinger’s model which are Attraction, Buildup, Continuos Detoriation and End stages Which can help individuals understand which type there are in or how they can move from one type of relationship in thier lives to another.

Continuos Stage is the third stage in which the individuals must have passed from the attraction and bulding stages.Here, the relationship involves a deepening of emotions and affection in terms of trust, loyalty, commitment to the relationship. Communication is improved, benefits are achieved in this stage and the two people involved must have determined the relationship is worth pursuing, and they put more effort to enhance the positivity of the relationship..During this phase,

the “We,” is constantly used and signifies acknowledgement of mutuality- an indication that each party wants to continue and deepen the relationship.”

We can infer that Debbie and Jamie are probably in thier Continuos Stage of relationship because they have been friends for many years, and know each other very well and have time for themselves.
