In this sense I believe that the role of "professor" is a Master Role, since as previously stated it sort of trumps all the other rolls that are given to that adult (at least in the eyes of his / her students). In my own personal cases, outside of the classroom environment, teachers assume the role of "adult" and they strip you of the role of "student." I say this because it usually isn’t ever awkward for the teacher if they happen to run into one of their own students.
