The black death was an epidemic of bubonic plague, a disease caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis (whatever the heck that is lol) that circulates among wild rodents. Plague among humans arises or starts to happen when rodents, usually black rats are in human habitation (where we live) and they become infected. This infection literally takes 3 to 5 days to set in and make humans (people) feel ill. Another 3 to 5 days and several unlucky people would die.
Long story short: The Black Death was a series of passed disease from rodents, to fleas, to people. Most cases.
It caused countless deaths especially since proper treatment would come too late.
Had few survivors due to the massive spread.
