b) Shaded area (Ash) is the area of the semicircle minus the area of the circle in the center

$A_{sh}=8\pi*x^{2}-\pi y^{2}$

c) Area of the garden

$A_{sh}=8\pi (6)^{2}-\pi (0.5)^{2} = 903.99 = 904 m^{2}$
