It’s x^9... the (x^3)^4 is the same thing as x^3•x^3•x^3•x^3=x^12 (you add the exponents when the equation is spread out...so 3+3+3+3=12~that’s how I got the ^12 part)
Now u have x^12•x^-3. And before I added the exponents, so imma do it again. 12-3=9 so the answer is x^9
If this was too confusing just give the variable a number (like 4) and see if 4^12•4^-3 has the same solution as 4^9
