a^2 + b^2 = c^2.  If you are trying to find line a, and b and c are given to you, use c (which is the hypotenuse, the longest side), take c and divide it by b, then square root the answer. This is the same for finding side b. To find side c, use the equation and square root the answer.
a^2  + b^2= c^2

(they are squared btw)
