The Commercial revolution started around the Middle Ages and increased the economic specialization, created new institutions such as banks and markets. It also pushed Europe to discover new countries in the Americas. The Commercial Revolution also helped the Industrial Revolution.

The Industrial Revolution happened around the 18th century and started in Britain. It changed societies that were based on agriculture to large-scale industries. Pushed the creation of machines and different ways to organize work.

Both revolutions changed deeply the economy and the society. Both of them pushed people to change drastically their way of living. Before the Commercial Revolution people were based on agriculture and on feudal society, after the merchants started to go from town to town the cities grew bigger and the economy shifted. This also happened during the Industrial Revolutions, big cities had the biggest industries, people stopped working on agricultural works and went to industries, this made towns such as London explode its population.

Both revolutions also shifted powers. Before the Commercial Revolutions, the feudal lords had all the power because they owned the land that was the only income for people after the merchants showed a new way of living power shifted to them. This also happened on the Industrial Revolution, the power shifted to the owners of industries.
