What supergroup is evidence to have arisen from organisms that were thought to have engulfed cyanobacterium and developed via endosymbiosis into autotrophic eukaryotes?

Respuesta :

Archaeplastida is the supergroup that is evident to have arisen from organisms that were thought to have engulfed cyanobacterium and developed via endosymbiosis into autotrophic eukaryotes.

The early eukaryotic cells lacked chloroplasts and mitochondria. These cells were in a symbiotic relationship with the prokaryotic cynabacteria-like organisms that performed photosynthesis and energy production for the early eukaryotic cells. These early eukaryotic cells eventually engulfed these symbiotic prokaryotic cells into their body to give rise to the current line of eukaryotic cells in the superkingdom, Archaeplastida.
