1. By applying the Geometric Mean (Altitude)Theorem, you have:

2. When you substitute values,and you solve for [tex] k [/tex], you obtain:
[tex] \frac{4}{k} =\frac{8}{4}\\ 8k=16\\ k=2 [/tex]
