The boycott of British goods in American colonies led to the American revolution. The British imposed various taxed in the colonies to collect money which they had lost in French-Indian war. The stamp act was one such act that angered the colonialists. This led to the boycott of British goods by the colonies because it was the first direct taxation on the colonies. Later due to the protests by the colonialists, the stamp act was repealed. It made the colonialists free-spirited and didn't want Britain to dominate them.
