The era in which we now live is Cenozoic. The Phanerozoic is the eon in which we now live. It began 541 million years ago. However, the question is about the era in which we live. The Phanerozoic eon is divided into 3 eras: 1. the Paleozoic era - 541-252 million years ago; 2. the Mesozoic era - 252-66 million years ago; 3. the Cenozoic era - 66 million years ago until now. Thus, the era in which we now live is the Cenozoic era.
