Last weekend , morita used 10 daisies to make flower arrangements. How many flowers other than daisies did she use to make the arrangements? Explain your reasoning.

Given:
10 flowers in 1 arrangement
2 daisies in every 10 flowers

Morita needs to make 4 arrangements. Find number of daisies required in 4 arrangements.

1 arrangement:
2 : 10

4 arrangements
10 x 4 = 40 flowers.

4 x 2 daisies = 8 daisies.

Morita needs 8 daisies for the 4 flower arrangements.
