This was a British soldier sent to live with the Jonson’s. Martha, mother of the family, was not happy about having to feed and house an extra person that they didn’t even know. Jim, father of the Jonson’s, tried doing everything he could to get the British soldier out of his house. He remembered hearing stories told by his grandfather about a Declaration of Independence. His grandfather told him about all these wonderful things that would make life so much better that was listed in the Declaration of Independence. Jim specifically remembers the right that.

It is October 6, 2020 I am going to tell you about my life with troops in my neighborhood. It is very crowded in our house everyday throughout the week. We take troops into our house and give them food. Let them use two rooms, a bathroom, and our washer and dryer. They get to use those utilities while they are at our house. Our house is also very crowded. There are five kids, and two parents than adding four troop members is a lot of people in one house. My little sister is very curious and snuck into the troop’s room while we were having supper and was caught.
It is October 6, 2020 my sister is being sent to court for trespassing. She just wanted to see what was in the room. She pleads for a trial by jury but the judge said “no you broke the law you will be held fully accountable you shall get no jury.” She was sentenced to 8 months in juvenile and 372 hours of community service. She would have had more of a chance if there was a jury I wish we had juries.
