The Sixteenth Street Baptist Church Bombing in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1963 resulted in killing four young girls and injured many people. Because of the bombing, prostest emerged resulting in a violent clash between protesters and police. It also draw national attention to the struggle of the African Americans to achieve their Civil Rights.
