Lyndon B Johnson's domestic programs were known as the Great Society.
The goal of this Great Society policy was to make America a place where poverty was virtually eliminated. In order to take steps towards achieving this goal, Lyndon B. Johnson and Congress passed several different laws that resulted in many programs we have today. This includes:
1) Free and reduced lunch programs at public schools.
2) Medicare and Medicaid- These programs help to provide health insurance to elderly citizens and people from low income families.
