Ok so here now we are looking for techniques that would fix errors in comma splices and run on sentences that benefit one's passage or essay etc. Now here there are mistakes in some answers that would actually not help such as A, because here, separating the sentences would make the text look really choppy and adding commas where they are not supposed to be can hurt you as well. In addition, B has the same problem with separating the sentences even if the other reasons may be beneficial. Now between C or D, I would say D because it makes more sense to fix dangling modifiers that might cause the run on sentences or comma splices, and adding a conjunction to a comma splice might cause it to become a problem if reading it over, it doesn't make sense.
