$-\dfrac{3}{7}y = \dfrac{3}{7}y + 1$

$-\dfrac{3}{7}y - \dfrac{3}{7}y = 1$

$-\dfrac{6}{7}y = 1$

$-\dfrac{6}{7}y \times \bigg( -\dfrac{7}{6} \bigg) = 1 \times \bigg( -\dfrac{7}{6} \bigg)$

$y = -\dfrac{7}{6}$
