Codominance is when both alleles are expressed - one allele is not more dominant than the other.

An example of this is a cow with red and white hair, you can see both colors of hair, not just one.

Examples of codominance involve a person with type AB blood, which means that both the A allele and the B allele are equally expressed. Another example is roan fur in cattle, in which white and red hair is equally expressed.

Codominance refers to a form of dominance in which the alleles of a gene pair in a heterozygote are fully expressed resulting in offspring with a phenotype that is neither dominant nor recessive.
