Abu Bakr was the father in law of Muhammad.

He was the father of Aisha

Hmm, I know that he isn't his father because his father was Uthman/Abu Quhafah. He definitely wasn't hiis son. So, the relationship between Abu Bakr and prophet Muhammad (saw) is that Abu Bakr is his father in law. I hope this helps
