Hello!
A circular pan is the same as a circle
To find the area of a circle you use the equation
[tex] \pi r^{2} [/tex]
r is radius which is half the diameter
put in 3.14 for pi and the radius
3.14 * [tex]4^{2} [/tex]
square the 4
3.14 * 16
Multiply
The answer is 50.24
Hope this helps!

Area of circle:
[tex] A = \pi r^2 [/tex]
[tex] radius = \dfrac{diameter}{2} [/tex]
[tex] r = \dfrac{8~in.}{2} = 4~in. [/tex]
[tex] A = \pi \times (4 ~in.)^2 [/tex]
[tex] A = 16 \pi ~in.^2 [/tex]
[tex] A = \pi r^2 [/tex]
[tex] radius = \dfrac{diameter}{2} [/tex]
[tex] r = \dfrac{8~in.}{2} = 4~in. [/tex]
[tex] A = \pi \times (4 ~in.)^2 [/tex]
[tex] A = 16 \pi ~in.^2 [/tex]
