One way, and probably the fastest way to graph, [tex]y = - \frac{x}{2} + 1[/tex] would be to plug in x values and plot the y value you get with the corresponding x value.
You only need two points because it's a linear graph. You already know one point, the y intercept, because your equation is in point slope form and b = 1, so 1 is the y intercept.
