Respuesta :

the answer is jobs because the north was advancing more

The correct answer is employment

In the mid nineteenth century, the South was an agricultural place while the North began rapidly industrializing and opening factories and similar things. This led to huge migrations towards the north since people wanted to work in factories since it was a steady income that paid well. Agriculture was also a problem in the south after the civil war so that helped them move north too.
