(PLEASE ANSWER + BRAINLIEST ANSWER!!!)

A ladder is leaning against a wall. The top of the ladder is 9 feet (ft) above the ground. If the bottom of the ladder is moved 3 ft farther from the wall, the ladder will be lying flat on the ground, still touching the wall. How long, in feet, is the ladder?

Respuesta :

Use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve this question.
I use the ^ to tell that it is squared
so 9 squared +3 squared =x squared

9^2+3^2=x^2
x^2= radical 90
x ≈ 9.5 feet
We can use the Pythagorean Theorem:
9² + 3² = x²
We get x≈9.5 feet.
