Nondisjunction event during meiosis
Nondisjunction is a process whereby sister chromatid or homologous chromosomes failed to separate during cell division. During meiosis, Nondisjunction produce eggs or sperms cell that don’t have the normal number of chromosome. However, there are three forms of Nondisjunction which were:
a) Failure of sister chromatids to separate during meiosis II
b) Failure of a pair of homologous chromosome to separate in meiosis I
c) Failure of sister chromatids to separate during mitosis.
