Why was General Lee's elation over his victory not complete?

A. because he learned that his friend General "Stonewall" Jackson had been wounded at the end of the battle

B. because he knew they still had a long way to go

C. because the war was not yet over

D. because too many young men had died

E. because his friend General "Stonewall" Jackson had been killed in battle

Respuesta :

I would assume that c would be the answer, because stonewall jackson had very little importance, other than being used for propaganda. You can always replace a general. But D could also be an answer, but it's very unlikely. And also what victory are you referring to?

Answer:

A. because he learned that his friend General "Stonewall" Jackson had been wounded at the end of the battle
