There are three main factors that explain the recovery of Europe after World War II:

1. The Marshall Plan.  This plan involved the United States giving three billions dollars in aid toward helping Europe recover from the destruction of the war.
2. The use of laborers from throughout Europe and Asia to help with reconstruction efforts.
3. Social and financial reforms were enacted throughout Europe that allowed for better distribution of money, jobs, and other benefits.
