Vaudeville offered family-oriented entertainment to the new working class mostly European immigrants. Vaudeville was designed to appeal the masses with singing, dancing, comical acts and trained animal routine. It was an inexpensive way to relieve psychological stress of daily work offering the people to laugh at their own experiences through the show’s parodies.
